We supply a number of weldable PU coated fabrics and heavy duty PU film for use in the construction of flexible tanks.

The choice of materials depends upon the size of the tank to be constructed and also the nature of the substance to be stored. In every case where liquid is being stored it is important to seal the internal seam. The exception is for small drinking-water tanks made from unsupported PU film.

Chiorino materials are currently being used in the following demanding applications:

• Large tanks for drinking-water, used by defence forces in desert conditions, diesel tanks used to support humanitarian relief, material reference 1PU4U4
• Small drinking-water tanks for boats - unsupported PU film, material reference EL2U10 HPN
• Heavy duty drinking-water/diesel tanks for helicopter transportation - material reference 1PU5U5

Our fuel tank materials have MIL T 52983 F approval

Please note that these tanks are not suitable for use in an enclosed area without adequate ventilation, as some degree of fuel vapour permeability will occur.

We can also supply 1mm PU film cut into seam-sealing tape.
