Calendered Polyurethane Elastar® Ecofilm

Chiorino S.p.A., a leading producer of conveyor and transmission belts, has established a specialised Division for the production of Polyurethane Elastar® Ecofilm.

Long experience in the CALENDERING of THERMOPLASTIC URETHANE POLYMERS, allowed Chiorino to develop a unique technique in the production of TECHNICAL FOILS for the industrial world. High physical, chemical and mechanical properties, suitable for manufacturing finished products or laminating to various supports including many types of fabric are now used successfully in many applications.

By means of this CALENDERING TECHNIQUE, Chiorino are manufacturing an infinite variety of polyurethane films from 30 micron up to 4mm thickness, offering remarkable advantages against other extruded or blown films.

Including:

• excellent strength in both longitudinal and transverse directions;
• higher resistance to inflating pressures;
• excellent weldability and clean cutting means labour saving of the finished products.
• perfect flatness
• technical compatibility with liquids, chemical powders, skin friendly are obtained with the use of particular polymers;
• wide variety of embossed surfaces are available, glossy or matt finish, high or low friction properties etc.
• homogeneous aesthetic surface, absent of longitudinal streaks typical of extruded products.
